Powered by Musicfetch - the API to find music links on all platforms (find out more)
A music distributor is the company that delivers a track or album to streaming platforms and digital stores on behalf of an artist or label. When you see a song on Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube Music, a distributor (or the label itself) is usually responsible for getting it there and collecting royalties.
Common distributors include TuneCore, DistroKid, CD Baby, Believe Music, and the major label groups such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group.
Knowing the distributor can help with:
Paste a link to a track on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or another supported platform, or search by song title. We look up the track via the Musicfetch API and match supplier identifiers from platforms like Spotify and YouTube against our distributor catalog to return the distributor name.
Not every track has distributor metadata available. Independent releases, older catalog, or tracks missing supplier data may not return a result.
